In this context, a “Joint Investigation Team” (JIT) was founded with the investigating authorities in Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece to coordinate and promote international investigations.
Eight experts from Bayreuth travelled to Albania specifically to implement comprehensive IT forensic measures. The IT-forensic experts and cypercops confiscated servers, computers and electronic devices such as smartphones with a total storage volume of almost four terabytes.
During the on-site technical measures required for this, the mobile IT-forensics laboratory “Paladin” was once again able to prove its usefulness for the police. This so-called Action Day was the first deployment of the Paladin from the Bavarian police outside Germany.
